Would You Rather? Seven questions for two

Two options, two private picks — and a reason to ask, “Why that one?”

  • Time: About 5 minutes
  • Players: Two people, a phone each
  • Sign-up: No sign-up needed

Example

Which would you pick?

Whisper for the rest of your life

Talk slightly too loud for the rest of your life

You each pick on your own. Picks open once you've both chosen.

How the game goes

  1. Choose the questions

Funny is silly either-ors for anyone. About us is your evenings, habits and plans. Flirty is sweet and a little romantic.

  2. Invite the other player

Send the link — it's for one person and lasts a day. Nobody needs to sign up.

  3. Pick one of two

On each question, tap your pick and press “Lock it in.” The questions come one after another, so you never wait on the other player.

  4. Compare

A question opens once you've both answered. Same pick? Nice. Different? Perfect time to ask why.

  5. Check the result

After seven questions you see where you picked the same and where you didn't.

Six questions from the game

Two from each set, so you can get a feel for the mood.

  • Funny

“A pet dragon the size of a cat” or “A pet cat the size of a dragon”? There's no right answer, but the arguments are usually great.

  • Funny, one more

“Always be ten minutes early” or “Always be ten minutes late”? A joke question that usually leads straight to “why?”

  • About us

“A perfectly planned evening” or “A walk with no route”? This is where you start to see how you like spending time together.

  • About us, one more

“Talk about the big stuff right away” or “Sleep on it first”? Good to know about each other ahead of time.

  • Flirty

“Get a compliment in a note” or “Hear it out loud when you least expect it”? The answer is a ready-made hint for later.

  • Flirty, one more

“A long hug” or “A quick kiss”? This set only starts when you've both said yes to it.

Flirty takes two

If you choose the Flirty set, the other player first sees an offer: play it that way, or go with calmer questions. Until they answer, nobody sees any questions.

If they go with calmer, the game starts with a different set. Nobody asks for a reason.

Questions about the game

How is this different from Guess My Answer?
You don't have to guess anyone's pick here — just make your own. It's shorter and lighter: one question, two options, one tap.
Can we skip a question?
Yes. It closes for both of you, and an answer that's already in stays private.
What if we answer at different times?
That's the idea. You each answer when it suits you; the picks open as soon as the second answer comes in.
Do the questions repeat?
In the same room, a new game starts with questions you haven't seen. Each set has twenty.
