- Time: About 5 minutes
- Players: Two people, a phone each
- Account: No account needed
Example
Never have I ever…
Never have I ever fallen asleep at the movies.
This card is from the game. Answers open once you've both picked.
How the game goes
Choose a set
Just met has easy everyday stories. Friends is silly moments and small adventures. Couple is about dates and crushes. A bit bolder adds some flirting.
Invite the other player
Send the link. It works for one person and lasts a day. Nobody needs an account.
Tap “I have” or “Never”
One tap per card. Cards come one after another, so you don’t wait for the other player.
See how it turned out
Answers for a card open once you’ve both picked: you both have, only one of you has, or neither of you.
Check the score
After fifteen cards you see how often you matched and who has more “I have.” Want to keep going? Take fifteen more.
Six cards from the game
One or two from each set, to give you the mood.
Just met
“Never have I ever waved back at someone who wasn’t waving at me.” Most people have their own version of this story.
Just met: one more
“Never have I ever sung karaoke.” An “I have” usually leads to the next question: which song?
Friends
“Never have I ever texted ‘almost there’ while still at home.” Honesty matters on this one.
Couple
“Never have I ever had an ‘our song’ with someone.” A nice excuse to talk about music that means something.
Couple: one more
“Never have I ever typed a long message and deleted it.” So what did it say?
A bit bolder
“Never have I ever blushed at a compliment.” This set starts only when you’re both up for it.
The bolder set takes two yeses
If you choose A bit bolder, the other player first gets a choice: play it that way or take calmer cards. Until they answer, nobody sees any cards.
If they choose calmer, the round runs with the Couple set. Nobody asks why.
Questions about the game
- How do you play Never Have I Ever online with two people?
- One of you starts the game and sends the link. You each open it on your own phone and tap “I have” or “Never.” You don’t need to be in the same room, so it works long-distance too.
- What do “I have” and “Never” mean?
- Each card is a statement like “Never have I ever fallen asleep at the movies.” If you’ve done it, tap “I have.” If not, tap “Never.”
- Can I skip a card?
- Yes. It closes for both of you, and an answer already sent stays hidden.
- What if we answer at different times?
- That’s how it’s meant to work. You each answer when it suits you; a card opens as soon as the second answer comes in.
- Do cards repeat?
- A new round with the same person starts with cards you haven’t seen. There are a hundred cards in the game.
