Truth or Dare: a game for two

A question or a little adventure? Pick a mood, share a link, and see where the evening goes.

  • Time: Usually 10–15 minutes
  • Players: Two people, a phone each
  • Sign-up: No sign-up needed

Example

  • Truth

What tiny thing can lift your mood in seconds?

  • Dare

Come up with a movie title for our evening.

These cards are from the game. In a real game you take turns.

How a game goes

  1. Pick a mood

Easy works for anyone — friends, or someone you met last week. Flirty is about compliments and crushes. A bit bolder is about kisses and wishes, and it stays tasteful.

  2. Say where you are

Together or apart. It changes the dares: you can only dance in the same room, but you can write a two-line poem from anywhere.

  3. Invite the other player

Send the link. It's for one person and lasts a day. They don't need to sign up either.

  4. Take turns

On your turn you choose Truth or Dare and get a card. You both see it. Answer out loud or in the game chat.

  5. Tap Done — or skip it

Played the card? Tap Done and the turn passes. Not feeling it? Use Skip or Different card. Nobody checks anything. Only the cards you played appear in the result.

  6. See what came up

A game is eight turns. At the end you get the list of cards you played — handy for going back to an answer you want to hear more about.

What the cards are like

Six cards from the game — one truth and one dare for each mood.

  • Truth · Easy

“Which childhood rule do you still love breaking?” Easy to answer for a friend, and for someone you just started texting.

  • Dare · Easy

“Come up with a movie title for our evening.” Dares at this level are about imagination and laughing, not about nerve.

  • Truth · Flirty

“What small gesture makes someone instantly more attractive to you?” One sentence is a fine answer. So is a whole story.

  • Dare · Flirty

“Give a compliment that has nothing to do with looks.” Harder than it sounds, and nicer than the usual kind.

  • Truth · A bit bolder

“Which do you like better: a kiss out of nowhere, or one you've been waiting for?” Even the boldest mood is a conversation, not a test.

  • Dare · A bit bolder

“Hug the other player for ten full seconds — if they're okay with it.” When a dare involves touch, the other person's okay is written into the card.

You both set the mood

Each player has their own mood, and the cards follow the calmer of the two. If you picked Flirty and the other player picked Easy, the game stays easy until they decide otherwise.

Either of you can dial it down at any time. If a card bolder than the new mood is already on screen, it goes away at once, and whoever's turn it is picks again. No explanation needed.

Questions about the game

Can we play at different times?
Yes. A turn waits for its player: play a card in the morning and get the next move in the evening. The game waits up to seven days with no move.
What if I don't like a card?
Tap Different card — you can swap once per turn. Or tap Skip and the turn passes to the other player. Skipped or swapped cards aren't included in the list of cards you played.
Does it work for friends?
Yes. On Easy there's no flirting and no romance: the questions are about habits and funny moments, and the dares are about imagination.
Do we have to prove anything — send photos or videos?
No. There are no “send a photo” or “text someone” dares in the game. Played the card? Tap Done. That's all.
